dude, I love farcry. ExtremeTech/PC Magazine just did a graphics card test using that and some other games. ATI blew Nvidia out of the water with 20% better performance with the X800 XT and the X850 then the comparable models Invida had.
Here is a cool one to, 800XL with 512 freaking MB, http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1558,1812469,00.asp It seems to only work well with less processor dependant games like HL2 and Doom 3, Unreal and Far Cry depend more on the processor then the card.
And here is ur ATI vs Nvidia thingy, ATI's high range cards beat Nvidias, but Nvidia's lower range takes ATI. http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1558,1780507,00.asp
Ah, but you see, when I said Nvidia was better, the X800XL wasn't out yet ;) When that card came out, ATI pumped up the Cool Points as the card is ~$300 but can almost perform in par with a Ge.6800U@$415+ Probably my thing is, I play BF and will play BF2, and those are more supported on Nvidias. I do prefer ATi though its just...Nvidia had some good stuff when them 6x00's came. But this X800XL is nice, I'm gonna see if I should upgrade :D

I'm saving for the 850 or the 512mb 800xl
According to Guru3d they say you should pick an 850XT over an X800XL, if you had to make a choice...
